Dreamland Disco

Tickets are sold out!!

But have no fear - we still want to see you. RSVP to info@amfstudiosnyc.com so we know to look out for ya, there’s pretty bad reception in the building. We are heading down to The Understudy bar at DeKalb Market around 9:30PM after the roller skating, so meet us there!

Celebrate the 80s, 90s, and modern pop music as the Dreamland Roller Rink kicks off a night of Boy Bands vs Girl Pop music throughout the decades. AMF will meet up at the rink for roller skating and general merriment ... I hear themed attire is highly encouraged.  I will likely be in a teal 80s jumpsuit with Farrah Fawcett hair.

They encourage advance purchases, as tickets sell out fast, so head over to their website to reserve your spot, as there may not be tickets available at the door. I've got mine, see you there!

The Punderdome

THIS IS THE MOMENT YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. The Punderdome is a pun-off live game show and we are 100% going.

Part of NYC’S comedy landscape since 2011, Punderdome® has been a regular fixture at Littlefield since 2012. Twelve individuals/duos who sign-up at the door (opens at 7:00) will have a chance to participate in competitive spontaneous pun-making. (Six spots are reserved for 'Dome Champs!) Preference given to first-time compunitors who have previously attended a 'Dome and seasoned winners! Pun-masters will, of course, be determined by the “Human Clap-O-Meter” who “accurately and scientifically” assesses levels of audience applause. “Mystery Box” prizes will be awarded to the top two remaining punners. Warning for the faint of heart: the ’Dome is THE spectator sport, it gets loud – decide to attend at your own risk!

Linclon Center Double Feature

Cool Happenings:

Stalker (1979) at 6:00PM & High Life (2018) at 9:15PM

This screening is part of our free weekly double features this summer to celebrate Film at Lincoln Center’s 50th anniversary. Free tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting one hour prior to each screening. Limit one ticket per person, subject to availability.

Stalker

Experience the mysteries and revelations of Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1979 science-fiction masterpiece. Decades ago, a falling object decimated a provincial Russian town, and those who later went near the crash site—now known as The Zone—disappeared. Access is strictly prohibited, but outsiders can still get in with the help of a “stalker.” Inside The Zone is The Room, within which secret wishes can be granted. Based on the novel Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, Stalker is a visually extraordinary and philosophically provocative fable about the limits of knowledge—personal, scientific, and spiritual.

High Life

Claire Denis’s latest film is set aboard a spacecraft piloted by death-row prisoners on a decades-long suicide mission to enter and harness the power of a black hole. But as is always the case with this filmmaker, the actual structure seems to evolve organically through moods and uncanny spells, and the closest juxtapositions of violence and intimacy. High Life features some of the most unsettling passages she has ever directed, as well as moments of the greatest delicacy and tenderness. With Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, André Benjamin, and Mia Goth.
